Boosting education is the state’s ongoing plan, and to help continue keeping advanced education a priority, the Muskingum-perry Career Center had a special guest on hand today to tour the campus and interact with students and faculty. Representative Jim Aslanides represents most of Muskingum county, he was there on behalf of the state and spent the day meeting with the faculty as well as the students who participate in the Tech Prep Program, which is one of the “hidden treasures” at the Center. Aslanides was impressed with the Tech Prep Programs available and state that now when high technology is very important and a skilled work force is extremely important as well for the employer the Muskingum-Perry Career Center facility provides opportunities for young people as well as adults. Because the Mid-East Ohio Vocational School District serves thirteen school districts as well as Guernsey, Noble, Perry and Muskingum counties many students in the area can benefit from the programs available. The Tech Prep Programs offered at the Muskingum-Perry location are interactive media, computer aided drafting, electronics, and machine tooling and manufacturing.
