It could’ve been mistaken for “Old Faithful” in South Zanesville around 8 o’clock this morning, as passersby witnessed a 40 ft. spray of water in front of CVS Pharmacy. It was a water main break that had people talking and all four lanes of the road flooded. Traffic was maintained to one lane southbound on State Route 22 because of the flooding, and officials say that it is due to the cold weather and frozen pipes that caused the main to burst which in turn created problems for local motorists. There were no accidents and officials are continuing to deal with the situation as salt has been used to prevent freezing as much as possible. There is a water boil advisory that has been issued to residents who are without water in that area, and it will be in affect throughout the weekend and until further notice.
