It’s a project that will have an impact on the community and many have been wondering where the project stands at this time. Last night the Zanesville City Council discussed and approved the next phase of the proposed plan, which will soon be underway. That next step is that realtors that were retained by the Zanesville Metropolitan Housing will be looking to purchase options on properties in the Greenwood area, and that will be starting this week. To get the ball rolling, back in December City Council passed an ordinance, which authorized spending monies to place options. That ordinance has been enacted so that the project can progress. Another public meeting concerning what will be taking place in the Greenwood area will be scheduled for mid February. The tax credit application date for the project is March 21st, those applications must be submitted by that date. No properties will be purchased before that date, or before the application has been approved.
