Students from three different schools in the Maysville District had a chance to get aquainted with their new surroundings. Today was "transition day" for elementary school students from Newton Primary, South Zanesville Intermediate, and Springfield Bell. Armed with maps of the new Maysville Elementary School, students were given guided tours of the new facility. The day which has been in the planning stage for over a year, was needed to make students feel at home. Over 900 students were able to see their new classrooms and classmates for the first time. And according to their principal, they are happy with the new school. Parents of the students will have an orientation at the school this coming Sunday and Monday. The first official day for Maysville Elementary will be Tuesday.
