For years she saw her father give a helping hand to the community ad she continued her father’s kindness to others as she grew up. And for all her good deeds, Dee Dee Jellison, was awarded the Annual Service To Mankind Award by the Zanesville Sertoma Club on Tuesday. Jellison, the youngest of eight children says she learned the importance of supporting people while going on Sunday trips with her dad who would always be making the rounds to help others. She was nominated by Betty Christman. Jellison has served as chairwoman of the Christmas Parade in South Zanesville for nine years. She is a member of the United Way, a volunteer and a member of the board of directors of the Alfred S. Carr Center Cake Auction. For more than a decade she has helped the Salvation Army with the Angel Tree Project. She also works with the Chamber of Commerce Festival of Trees, The Girl Scouts and the American Red Cross. In her spare time, Jellison is the owner of Hairport 2. Congratulations to you Dee Dee Jellison and best wishes of luck in the future.
