Superintendent Mike Pockl issued a statement today expressing his sympathies for those affected by the horrific event that took place this morning involving two employees of the Zanesville City School System. Extended were the school district’s deepest sympathies and condolences to the families and friends of the employees involved. Pockl took immediate action and called in counselors for assistance and support. The district’s “Crisis Intervention Plan” was immediately implemented this morning where area counselors will be on hand for staff support. Those counselors will also be available for future needs of the students and faculty throughout the school district.
