This month they are setting the stage to bring an important historical center to town. To celebrate Black History month and to raise funds for an Underground Railroad project, a luncheon is being held tomorrow at the Zanesville Country Club. It is their second year for their luncheon and Dr. Lorle Porter from Muskingum College will be on hand to speak and sign her books, Mrs. Liesta Walker will be singing Negro spirituals and her CDs will be on sale at the event. The luncheon is planned for Tuesday February 12th at 12 noon. The Muskingum county Foundation is planning the event and anyone who wants to attend can contact the foundation for tickets. Many local agencies and organizations are involved in making this event a success.
