The possibility of a union being formed at the Longaberger plant in Frazeysburg has prompted some employees to organize a group of their own. "Keep The Longaberger Company Union Free" is a group of employees who feel that the unionizing of the basket-making giant would be a big mistake. With over 5,000 employees located at the plant, there have been two previous failed attempts to form a union. Just one day into its existence, this group hopes to do the same again. The "Longaberger Employees' Alliance", who held their organizational meeting Sunday, are in favor of the union because they say that they have lost some of their benefits. One employee also stated that she lost her seniority when she had to transfer to another department. But the "Keep The Longaberger Company Union Free" says that those statements are not entirely true. The group is now in the process of organizing a rally to voice their opinion about the formation of a union at Longaberger.
