An old theater in downtown Newark is getting a second chance. After nearly 25-years of being vacant, the Midland Theater will be reopening its doors this coming September. The theater, which is currently under construction, is being completely renovated thanks to the Longaberger Company. The 8.5 million dollar renovations are scheduled to be completed in September and the first season of show will start in October. The theater will be turned over to a non-profit organization-the Newark Midland Association.
