Besides legislative issues being discussed at the Annual Legislative Breakfast this morning, two contributions were presented today, one from SBC Ameritech and one from State Senator Jim Carnes. SBC Vice President Mike Kehoe presented Christ’s Table with a check for $1,500 to help their need. Another large check for the Juvenile Detention Center was presented to County Commissioner Dorothy Montgomery. A $600,000 check to help with the Center was brought forth to complete the state’s commitment of over 2.5 million dollars. That money is the final state grant for the Juvenile Justice Center, which is currently completed and operating.
