Area water projects are in the works, and over the past few weeks the Muskingum County Commissioners have been hard at work getting these projects underway. Right now the focus is on the Gaysport water project. The water line will go from Duncan Falls to Gaysport and branch off to some surrounding side roads near Route 60. It has been broken down into two parts to make bidding easier on local contractors, and those in charge of construction. About 100 residents have signed up and shown interest in being a part of the water line, Commissioner expect that once the project gets underway, more residents will become interested. There are two bids that have currently been taken under advisement by the commissioners, and those companies are Glenn James and Perry Reclaiming. Sometime within the next week bids will be awarded on that project and construction can begin.
