The Muskingum County Home on Newark Road has served mature area residents for many decades. But now, the home is in great need of repair in order to continue its service for years to come. The extreme tempatures that we have experienced within the last two weeks have caused some of the exterior bricks to fall. The exterior of the county home consist of various layers of brick and although the damage looks very extreme on the outside, it does not pose an immediate threat to the residents. Commissioner Ed Kenily says that a structural engineering group from Columbus will assess the damage and present the county with options.
