The Greenwood Project is currently down but not out. And now there is talk of a new less expensive proposal. Last Monday city council turned down two ordinances that would have moved the project forward due to a hefty price tag of 7-million dollars. But since the city of Zanesville has invested numerous hours of manpower and approximately 100 thousand dollars in the initial stages of the project, council wants to see an alternative plan. Phil Allen, executive director of the Zanesville Metropolitan Housing Authority says the plan council will see has been scale back from 7.3 million dollars to 920-thousand dollars.
