Nonprofit organizations that have a vision for the future of the community are encouraged to participate in the Spring Grant Competition. The Muskingum County Community Foundation has recently announced the grant competition for the year 2002, and is hoping that local organizations apply soon. Applications are available now for those organizations interested and thanks to an outpour of support at recent fund-raisers, the Foundation can award even more money this year. The Groundhog auction went well in February and overwhelming support was shown from the community and this year they have over 44,000 dollars to contribute. For an application call The Muskingum County Community Foundation Office at 453-5192 or visit the office to pick one up, at 543 Putnam Avenue between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm during the week. You can also visit the website at mccf.org for more details. The deadline for the application is April 1st at twelve noon.
