The man suspected of stabbing two people this afternoon is in police custody. It started in Frazeysburg and ended with a police chase on Military Road in Zanesville. The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to piece together what happened. Just after 12 this afternoon authorities were dispatched to Trolls Restaurant at 36 2nd Street in Frazeysburg. Twenty-four old Lloyd Martin and 22-year-old Tonya Burnell were found lying on the front porch of the restaurant with stab wounds. Both were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital. The 2 were stabbed in their apartment at 39 2nd Street by a male who resides in their same apartment building. The Sheriff’s Department said that the stabbing was a result of an argument. The suspect fled and the Sheriff’s Department then put out an all points bulletin for his car. Trooper Matt Boyd from the State Highway Patrol heard the bulletin and spotted the car on Maple Avenue. The suspect is in the Muskingum County Jail awaiting formal charges, and the investigation is continuing.
