A distinguished professor of American Studies graced the campus of Muskingum College as a guest speaker earlier today. William Dentzer, Jr. a 1951 Graduate of Muskingum College, went on to become a very successful bank regulator and CEO of one of the world’s largest stock securities depositories. The Depository Trust Company, on Wall Street began in 1972 and has grown since then. Last year the company settled in money and securities a market value of 120 trillion dollars. The Depository Trust Company also has the ability to hold securities, deal with corporate bonds, municipal bonds and handle all NASDAQ and U.S. stock markets. Dentzer retired from the company in 1994 and continues to remain interested in the National economy. Mr. Dentzer visited four classes and made a general speech to college students concerning economics, globalization, free trade, politics, as well as becoming a successful member of society after graduation.
