It could be the first time in history that a cheerleading squad from Zanesville High School competes in a National Championship competition. With that thought in mind, these girls are getting pumped up and prepared for next week’s event. The squad, made up of freshmen and sophomores have high expectations and are confident with their talent. The girls will be heading to Columbus for a three-day competition to showcase tumbling, chants, and dance routines. This Tuesday the ZHS squad will be performing alongside other area high school squads at West Muskingum High School. The National Championship takes place next weekend April 5th through 7th.
