Buckeye Lake Village Council Members are not happy with the way that their local police department is being run. Council members are upset that police chief Ron Small does not attend council meetings, make his five full-time officers punch a time clock at the station, and he allows his off duty volunteer auxillary officers carry firearms. Chief Small says that his department is professional and he has become a target of meddlesome council members. Council members are thinking about eliminating the department and getting a service contract with the Licking County Sheriff's Office.
