A fire early Monday morning destroys a local business and leaves three families homeless. A fire started around 1 this morning at 1375 Maysville Avenue in the garage of the Yellow Cab Company. The flames started when a couple of mechanics were working on a cab. Luckily no one was hurt. The fire spread and the people living in the upstairs apartment had to be evacuated. Three families are getting relief assistance, the Red Cross got them to a motel, and provided food and clothing. 2 out of 6 of the cabs in the fleet were destroyed, but the Yellow Cab Company is continuing to operate.
