In order to keep up with the developmental growth in the city of Zanesville, the planner and zoning administrator has made an important change. Within the past year there has been considerable growth in the area. Just along Maple Avenue alone, the commerical industry will have four new restaurants. Since there has been so much activity with new developments, the four boards that review residential, industrial, or commercial plans had to change their filing date. Previously the filing date for a tentative buidling project had to be submitted by the last Wednesday of each month. Now plans must be submitted by the second Wednesday of each month in order to be reviewed by the apporpriate board. This change will allow the city to handle the growing amount of applications received.
