A staple in the Zanesville Pottery industry for 113 years is closing down. The family owned business, Zanesville Stoneware will no longer exist. Buddy Linn worked for his family’s company since high school. Now 50 years later, he decided it was time to retire. A major fire destroyed most of the shop in the late 80’s, but Linn rebuilt. The history of Zanesville Stoneware is detailed in a new book. Written by independent authors, the book is for sale over the Internet at www.artpots.com. Locally there are a few places to buy the last remaining pieces of Zanesville Stoneware. It’s for sale at both the Zanesville Pottery Store on Route 40 and Ohio Pottery.
