The Muskingum county sheriff's department is working hard to solve the homicide of a Zanesville woman. 40-year-old
Angela Kennedy's body waas found floating in a creek on Thursday April 18th in Hopewell township by two area residents. Detective Steve Welker says he is not releasing how Kennedy died, but it was a homicide. Welker says his department has 12 leads that are being checked out.
And he is asking for anyone with information about the death to step forward and share the information. Welker says his department is being assisted in the investigation by the Zanesville Police Department. Kennedy's murder is the 10th homicide in Muskingum county this year. Welker says of those 10, five of the cases have been solved.
