After an inspiring visit to the Zanesville Appalachian Arts Program last year, some local students have decided to bring the history of the Underground Railroad to the community. Munson Elementary students are working on a project called “Follow the Drinking Gourd” which is a story about a family that is escaping north to freedom. Now back by popular demand, that production was presented in March at the John McIntire Library, and it was a hit. They are preparing for yet another production of their famous show tonight at 7pm they will be performing at Grover Cleveland Middle School. Admission is free and the public is invited.
