Seeing the judicial system in action, that’s what some local students got the opportunity to do today. The Supreme Court was hearing oral arguments in Perry County, and students got the chance to listen and learn. It is an off site court program where the justices travel around and show school children the importance and reality of the court system. They have been to 43 counties this year alone and over the years, around 2,000 students have taken part in this interactive educational tool. The program began back in 1987 by chief Justice Thomas Moyer, to build the students awareness of how the court system works.
