It’s called the “Reason for Hope” Car Show, a different way to fight a deadly disease. The event not only showcases cars but it’s also a benefit with a silent auction and raffle included. Kermit Sheets put the whole thing together for a reason that hits very close to home. Fifty percent of the benefits will go to the research of Lou Gherig’s disease, and the other fifty percent will go to the family of his son, Mark who has been battling the disease for two years. Lou Gherig’s is a neuromuscular disease that progressively weakens muscles and results in paralysis. The event is in its second year now and has seen success in the past. There will be additional entertainment at the show, George Annarino, a black belt karate instructor and Dr. Eldoonie the world’s fastest magician will be on hand. The show will be this Saturday in Dresden at the American Legion Hall from 9am to 4pm. This event is open to the public.
