The warmer months are on the horizon and with spring moving in, those with a green thumb are getting antsy to plant, rake and get prepared for the growing season. In order to grow a beautiful garden that your neighbors will envy, and Julie Tusing from Timber Run Gardens says that the main thing to do is clean up, and start fresh. Use herbicides, pre-emergents that can help control the weeds
Do this with lawns and flowerbeds. Tusing also recommends taking one step at a time, by laying mulch after the cleanup is completed. Another big issue is when to begin planting, and experts say the best time for that is around Mother’s Day. Because of the current weather planting right now is iffy so hanging baskets and pots are best and can be relocated indoors and away from harmful conditions
