It’s been ninety days since the Y-Bridge project began, and now the construction process is in its last stages as workers piece together the finishing touches. A few stalls in the project put it three weeks behind schedule, but it looks as if the bridge construction will be completed by May 12th. Mike Sims, Public Service Director City of Zanesville says that the bridge must be done by May 18th to meet coast guard criteria for maintaining public waterways. The Y-Bridge is receiving a new look and local residents can expect to see new railings, and a wider entryway onto the bridge. Through traffic is expected to open by the end of May.
