It was a big night for Zanesville City Schools as the bond issue for the renovation of schools was passed 2,812 to 2,175. The bond issue for West Muskingum School District failed to pass with 1,666 yes votes to 1,697 no votes. Receiving an overwhelming show of support, the Muskingum County Senior Services tax levy was passed with 7,376 votes over 4,070 no votes. And out of the seven other issues on the ballot only two failed. They were the fire protection issues in Clay and Licking townships.
