Guernsey County is receiving money to guard against terrorist attacks. The area is the first in the state to receive money as part of federal and state homeland security efforts. Lt. Gov., Maureen O'Conner along with State Emergency Management Director, Dale Shipley, presented a check for 36 thousand dollars to the Guernsey County Emergency Management Agency.
