The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an emergency landing that took place early Thursday morning on I-70 near the Pickerington exit. The Lancaster post of the highway patrol says it happened around 3:15 in the morning. A small plane carrying a pilot and a passenger ran out of gas and landed on the interstate, almost hitting a cruiser from the Fairfield county sheriff's office. One lane of traffic was blocked after the plane landed. No injuries have been reported. The Federal Aviation Administration has been called in to investigate the incident.
