The unusually cool temperatures didn't stop area youngsters from showing up at the Zanesville Canal for a "Fishing Derby." Kids between the ages of one and fifteen brought out their fishing poles and bait in hopes of catching the big one. Prizes were awarded for different categories such as-the biggest fish caught and etc. The popular Muskingum County event was sponsored by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, The Division of Wildlife, and the Division of Parks and Recreation.
