The investigation into the death of a Perry county child is being re-opened. Presecutor Joe Flautt says six years ago 4-year-old Brandi Marie Conley allegedly fell down a flight of stairs. Flautt says the case has never really been closed, but now it will be re-examined. The Columbus Dispatch says doctors examined Conley's body and determined
she was beaten. The final autopsy report ruled Conley's death a homicide and a case of child abuse. Still Flautt says he doubts that enough evidence will ever emerge to charge anyone in the child's death which happened December 18th 1996. Perry county shreriff William Barker says his office has no new information on the Conley case. But he added that on the request of the prosecutor's office he's assigned two detectives to the case.
