With joint efforts by the Chamber of Commerce's Muskinghum Growth Partnership, the City of Zaneville, and the Ohio Department of Development, a new loan program in Zanesville is focused on helping small businesses thrive. The loan program is called the "Micro-Enterprise Loan Program." In all, there are six loans to be distributed, totaling $60 million. The first recipient of the loan was announced Tuesday afternoon. Linda Moody will see her hobby of crafts transformed into her career with the help of a $5,000 loan. The Micro-Enterprise Loan Program is also focused on job creation within Muskinghum Coutny.
