Wednesday afternoon, a group of elementary students from Maysville donated more than 7 bags of their own stuffed animals to the Zanesville Fire Depratment and Community Ambulance. The students got the idea of donating the stuffed animals after touring the fire station on Pine Street. When they found out that the victims of the fires lost all thier belongings, they took matters into their own hands and organized a school-wide donation of stuffed animals. This act of kindness not only will console the victims, but also teach community service to the students. Maysville Elementary hopes to make this an annual event, and continue to donate to the fire stations.
