Authorities in Licking county are trying to figure out the significance of two pennies placed on the body of a man who was beaten to death and left in a ditch. Alexandria police officer Matthew Jones says there were two pennies on the man's shoulder. One was heads up and the other tails up. Jones says police want to know why the pennies were left that way. He hopes it leads them to the killer. An autopsy on the body is scheduled for today (Tuesday). The man has not been identified. There was no identification on the body. The body was found about six-30 Monday night by four bicyclers.
