There is always a need for blood donors, but currently in Zanesville there is a need for Type-O, Type-A, and Type-B negative blood. After months of decline, the American Red Cross is operating four bloodmobiles next week, starting on Monday the 24th. The demand for blood comes at the beginning of the summer trauma season. Also, the nice weather has prompted residents to spend more and more time outside, and they forget to donate as a result. Appointments are welcome to donate at the downtown Red Cross location. Any questions about days or times of the bloodmobiles can be directed to 452-2731.
