The young girl shot earlier this month at a Guernsey county campground is now going home. Authorities have confirmed that 11-year-old Rebecca Lewers does not need any more rehabilitation. Lewers lost a kidney and had severe bleeding, but Wednesday was released from the Akron's Children's Hospital. 19-year-old Mike Morris of Canton, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder in the shootings of Lewers and Crystal Mccalla at the Bucket Hill campground near Cambridge. A hospital spokeswoman says Mccalla, also age eleven, suffered less serious wounds. Police say Morris arrived at the campgrounds June 4th and had a fight with his mother, he then wounded the girls when he began shooting at his mother and sister.
