Smokers who didn't stock up on cigarettes over the weekend are going to be paying 31 cents more per pack today as Ohio's news cigarette tax kicks in. The increase raises the state tax on a pack of cigarettes from 24 cents to 55 cents. That brings the price of a pack of cigarettes to about four-dollars and fifty cents. Some smokers who live near Ohio's boarders say they'll go to other states to buy cigarettes. Others say the increased tax is another incentive to quit smoking.
