Late Monday afternoon the Zanesville City School Board met to discuss the placement of several new school buildings. A total of seven diagrams were discussed showing the new middle and high school buildings off Blue Avenue. Also debated were possible placements for the two new elementary schools at the Grover Cleveland site. The public will have a say regarding the building sites as the school board will be holding a community meeting sometime next week. Also Monday the school board hired a geotechnical engineer and a civil engineer, who will access the land for the buildings. The anticipated completion date for the 96-million dollar project is September 2005.
