The former Oliver's Building off Third and Market streets in Zanesville will retain it's old-fashioned facade, but the interior is receiving a brand new look. Members of the Community Action Agency are supporting and constructing a housing center especially designed for the 55-plus community. Supporters of the Zanesville Historic Apartments say they prefer to call it a 55-plus community and not a senior center because there's less of a focus on age and more of a focus on quality of life and environment. Although the building was built in the early 1900's and evokes an historical feel, renovations are taking place in a newly revitalized part of town. Construction workers say renovations are progressing and the building should be completed sometime in September.
