Early Sunday evening the 156th Muskingum County Blue Ribbon Fair officially began. The opening ceremony also served as a special birthday party of 4-H. 100-year-old Ruth Studer, a long-time 4-H member and advisor, cut the cake signifying both the start of the fair and the 100th birthday of the agricultural club. The fair runs through this week at the Fairgrounds. Free admission will be given Monday to all those who bring an I-G-A labeled fruit of pork and beans can between 7:00 a.m and 3:00 p.m.
