Heat, Sickness and the Fair

Red Cross representative say the recent heatwave put a damper on some people at the Muskingum County Blue Ribbon Fair. Exhaustion and sickness landed them in the makeshift infirmary under the grandstand. Medical staff members say there are a few tips people should follow when going to the fair. Hydration is important, as is wearing appropriate, light-colored clothes. Skip Randles, R.N. says the medical staff is there to help anyone with most any ailment, but an ounce of precaution could prevent most people from even having to enter the tiny first aid station.
