Construction for the Dresden Energy Facility is running smoothly. The power plant is located off McGlade School Road in Muskingum County. The project will cost more than 3-million dollars to complete, but according to the director of the Port Authority, Larry Merry, the project is necessary to counter the growing demand of the electrical industry in our area. This plant is a gas-fired facility, meaning the invasion of pollution and noise is minimal. The power plant will create between 40 to 50 permanent jobs. The anticipated completion date for the project is early summer of next year.
