The Ohio State Higway Patrol says it busted up a plan by a Noble county inmate and his wife to commit an armed robbery. Investigators say Noble Correctional Instituion inmate 30-year-old Shane Bowling and his wife, 34-year-old Kathryn Bigham, both of Lancaster, face multiple charges including conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
Detectives say the inmate was to be released July first, but when his wife came to pick him up, troopers searched her car. They found a ski mask, gloves, dark clothing, boots and a semi-automatic handgun. Investigators also searched the couple's Lancaster apartment where they planned to live in Zanesville and a Columbus residence. Both have been indicted by a grand jury and remain in custody.
