SWAT team members from the Cambridge Police Department were on the scene this morning at a Cambridge residence on North 3rd Street. The home belonged to 70-year-old Richard Ford. Ford was held inside his home by the SWAT team. Law enforcement officials recieved a call that Ford had threatened someone with a shot gun. Ford eventually emerged from his home with what appeared to be a wooden stick. It is unknown at this time if he did have a gun in his possession. Cambridge Police are still interviewing witnesses on the events of the standoff.
