The month of September is upon us and the City of Zanesville has been planning an event to remember the September 11th terrorist attacks. After almost a year, the economy and the hearts of every American are still feeling the impact of the attacks. With this in mind, the city and Mayor Fenton are keeping the day as a special reminder of what happened. A tribute will be held at Zane Landing Park from noon to 12:30 p.m. Local law enforcement officials and city officials will be on hand to pay recognition to the day. Even with the sadness and quiet reflections many will feel on that day, some celebration is in order for those returning home to Zanesville. The 447th Military Police Company from Zanesville has been at a Missouri Base since last year after the attacks. On September 13th, the compnay will return home. At 1:00 p.m. on the 13th, a welcome home party will be held at the Reserve Base for the Company.
