More than blustery winds will be blowing through the area this fall. Local hospitality industry associates say Muskingum Valley residents don't realize the business the area generates when the air turns crisp and the leaves start to turn. According to hotel managers, there are many reasons to visit the area in the autumn. Topping the list is the Longaberger Company. The Wilds, historical tours and people en route to Ohio State University football games account for many, other reasons to pass through. Local hotel operators say visitors shouldn't be surprised to find price hikes and minimal vacancies until the season is over in November.
