Due to low water levels the City of Zanesville is asking residents to voluntarily minimize their water usage for the next 48 hours. Mike Sims, Public Service Director for the city is asking residents to restrict watering lawns and gardens and hand washing cars. This is necessary in order to prevent future problems. Mr. Sims feels that the drought-like conditions have promopted more people to water their lawns and gardnes frequently. He says that if you do wish to water, do so early in the morning or later on in the evening.
