New developments are surfacing in the case of a McConnellsville woman who was shot in the face Monday afternoon. McConnellsville Police say 58- year old Jack Church was intoxicated the afternoon of the shooting, and the Church initially admitted to committing the attempted aggrevated murder. Authorites say the victim, 43- year old Kristy Hooper remains somewhat conscious at the OSU hospital. Morgan County Prosecuter Rick Welch says he believes there are witnesses to the incident though none have yet come forward. A friend of Hooper tells WHIZ-TV that Church had made numerous advances toward his Main Street neighbor that were not recipricated and that could have been a motive in the shooting.
