A case of fatal attraction could land a McConnelsville man behind bars for 13 years. 58-year old Jack Church allegedly shot his Main Street neighbor multiple times in the face. Today Morgan County Judge Michael Lowe bound over the aggrevated attempted murder case to the grand jury. Taking the witness stand, a McConnelsville police officer testified Church took out a $100,000 insurance policy naming his 43-year old neighbor Kristy Hooper the beneficiary. On the policy appeared Hooper's full name and next to it said "soon to be 'Church.'" Hooper's sister, Kim McGrew, says Kristy is recovering from eye surgery at the Ohio State University Hospital, and is on a ventilator unable to speak. She remains in serious condition tonight. As for Jack Church, he's in jail with a bond set at $500,000.
